[It's been a while since Roji updated his journal. Within the last couple of months, so much has been going through his head, he hasn't been quite sure what to say. So since it's the new cycle, he figures he'll address that for now.]

Time really flies, doesn't it? Even in Luceti. It's hard to believe I've already been here for two months. To all of the New Feathers: welcome to Luceti. [It's weird calling others New Feathers, since he was just one until now.] I know the whole situation is strange, but I hope you can manage to get settled in alright.

[In the meantime, Roji will be waiting to see if anyone from his world shows up this cycle. His hopes are high.

There's a pause as he considers asking a question he's been meaning to ask for a while. He decides to go with it. He's too curious about this to wait any longer.]

And on a completely different note, I have a somewhat random question for anyone who's listening. What are ghosts like in your world?

[As for the action bit, after Roji closes his journal, he's going to be going around his building for a bit. He realized he hasn't gotten around to really introducing himself to his neighbors. So anyone in Community Housing 7 will be hearing a knock on their door from Roji, who will be carrying a baked good of some sort.]

[Ginia is sitting on her bed in room 15, compiling and organizing her notes, when a knock comes at the door. She wasn't expecting any company, but she had given her number out to a few people and there were others in the building so it wasn't that big a deal. She quickly gets up and answers the front door with a friendly smile.

They may not know each other, but he comes bearing baked goods so this is a good start.]

[The friendly smile is returned as Roji gets right to the point,]

Hello! I hope I'm not intruding on anything, but I wanted to go around the building and introduce myself to everyone. Get to know the other residents, you know?

[Ginia shakes her head and steps aside to let him in. There's not much in the (currently unshared) living space; a bookshelf with a few books, a table and three chairs, a small cabinet. Functional, if a little bland.

She gestures over at the chairs, inviting him to take a seat, as she pulls a small notepad and pencil out of her pocket and quickly writes a message to show him.]

That's very nice of you to do so. I'm Ginia, one of the New Feathers that arrived on this cycle. Please make yourself comfortable.

I'm sorry for the writing; I'm mute. I hope this won't be an issue.

[Thanking her as she lets him in, Roji examines the room. There might not be that much, but he likes it. Less is more sometimes, right?

He sets the tray on the table and sits, watching her as she writes. He's a bit confused at first, but he understands as soon as he sees the message. His eyes widen a bit, but he quickly shakes his head.]

No, not at all! [a smile] It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Ginia. I'm Roji.

Nice to meet you, Roji. Please, just call me Ginia.

[She beams at the tray of baked goods and waves a hand over in its direction.]

Those look delicious. What's the occasion?

[And she'll be casually eying those cookies. Yes, you've met the other person in the apartment with a major sweet too.]

Ginia it is.

[Community Housing 7 certainly has a lot of sweets lovers.] They're for you. I made gifts for everyone I'm visiting.

[If there's ever a sweets shortage in Luceti, Community Housing 7 will be the first place people look for the culprit.]

That's so very kind of you. I've noticed there are a lot of nice people in this building.

[There will be so much denial.

Roji blushes a little at Ginia's response. He rubs the back of his neck. He fumbles to think of a response.]

Ah, thank you. [Sure, he'll settle with that.

He then nods, thinking of Helios and the others who helped him get to know Luceti.] You're right. Luceti in general has a lot of nice people.

It's a nice bit of comfort being surrounded by niceness. Makes things more bearable. [While she can't help but think it'd only take a person or two to take advantage of everyone and really hurt a lot of people, she hardly thinks everyone is a pushover either. Regardless, it's a nice change from her usual environment.]

[Ginia reaches for a cookie, pauses and glances at Roji to make sure it's okay, then finally takes it and munches on it.]

This is really good! And you said you baked these? I'd love to exchange recipes sometime.

Yes. I'm happy to have made some new friends, since I'm the only one from my world here so far.

[Roji grins at Ginia's approval.] Thank you! And yes, I did. [Then, rather excitedly,] You bake too?! Ah, that would be wonderful!

Yes, I find baking to be very relaxing and there's nothing like the smell of fresh cookies or cake in the kitchen. I think it'd be fun exchanging recipes and trying new things. Perhaps we can bake together sometime? [And with no shortage of sweet addicts around, there will be plenty of test subjects too.]

[Ginia, you are totally speaking his language. He sounds even more enthusiastic after reading that response.] I'd love to!

Which floor are you on? To figure out which kitchen to use and the other details.

I'm on this floor too, actually. Makes things easier, huh? [a small laugh]

[Ginia grins at that bit of news.] It does. It's nice to know who I'm sharing the kitchen with. Do you know if there's anyone else on this floor?

I think there might be someone else, but I'm not sure. If there is, they're not home right now.

Seems like this is one of the quieter floors then, though nothing wrong with that. Makes sharing the kitchen easier.

Don't worry, I'll do my best to keep it clean. [And she's a neat freak so the kitchen will remain tidy. On the other hand, don't be surprised by the cupboard stocked entirely with cookies and snacks.]

Hehe, I trust you. [They're going to have the best kitchen ever after this.]

I've only been here for a few days so I want to confirm something. The grocery store seems pretty well-stocked so it doesn't seem like a shortage on ingredients is ever a concern, but have there ever been shortages before?

I...don't know, actually. There haven't been any while I've been here, anyway.

I suppose it's one less thing to worry about while living here. [Though that won't stop her from stocking up on some canned goods in the event of a future food shortage.]

Yeah. I won't lie, it was my favorite part about Luceti when I arrived. Having access to a lot of ingredients I usually don't...it's great.
