[As the feed begins, the camera is blocked out and the faint sound of sniffling can be heard. Has the poster been crying? Possibly. Whoever it is is embarrassed to show their face at the moment, that's for sure.]

Um, I have a question. W-Well, two, actually. Has anyone else here been here a long time and not have anyone from home appear? If so...how do you cope with it?

[Yeah, Roji is ridiculously homesick right now, and Ven's post about friends from home got him to start over-thinking things. He really misses his own friends.]

...I guess I haven't been here all that long, but no one I know has shown up either.

I guess I deal with it by telling myself that I'll go home and see them all again eventually. I mean, as far as time goes back home, we're all really only gone for one teeny tiny second or something, right?

[Not that telling herself that always works, but...she does find it a little comforting from time to time.]

Mm. That's how I got by at the start too. Sometimes it gets kind of hard to keep telling yourself that though.

[But he does feel better knowing he's not alone in this.]

You're right. Even telling myself that, it really doesn't stop me from missing everyone at home. I mean...well, it's better for them that they're not here, but...it'd be nice to see them at least, huh? Even pictures or something.

Yeah... [This time with more confidence,] Yeah, pictures would be wonderful. I didn't think of pictures.

Yeah. O-Or even just hearing them would be nice! Agh, I had all those voicemails on my cellphone back home...! It's too bad stuff like that doesn't always seem to show up here, huh?

Heh, yeah. [Now he's fondly remembering all of the funny voice messages he has stored away on his own phone.]

Y'know, I wonder if they do. I never went out looking for pictures or phones before...

Me neither...maybe we should. I mean, a phone wouldn't last long without the charger, but if pictures did show up, it would be really nice to find them!

Usually when I think of stuff from home, I think about clothes or...I dunno, but not pictures. But now that I think about it, there's no reason stuff like that wouldn't show up, right?

I'm pretty sure I've seen people with cellphones around too. Maybe there's a little hope!

[As someone who was practically glued to her cellphone back home, this is incredibly important information.]

[He chuckles.] Well, then it helped for both of us.

I've been here for two years. Although there was one other person here from my world when I arrived, he was sent home shortly after. I've not seen anyone since.

As for how I cope with it, I appreciate the friends I have made in his world. It also helps me to believe they are home where they belong. I would not wish for them to be trapped in this situation with me.

[Two years...that's twice the length Roji's been around. He feels bad for thinking he had it bad now.]

You're right about not wanting them to be stuck in our situation too. I just wish I could see them for at least a day... [He sighs.] But then I wouldn't want them to leave.

You didn't get to see them when the Malnosso allowed us to return home for a day?

Mm, no. I went to a friend's world.

[And he did enjoy himself in that world, because it reminded him of home anyway.]

Yeah, it's the same with me. [Even if she only has one real friend back home.] The way to cope with it...well, everyone has different ways. I do my best to keep them in my memory and, even if I cannot see them, go on knowing they are in still there.

Mhmm, it does help knowing that they're there at home.

[He has to hand it to be people for being able to keep that thought always at the front of their minds.] Do you ever break away from that thought sometimes?

Exactly! And when we go back, it's as though nothing ever happened. You won't have to worry about them worrying or any national missing poster campaigns! [But to get serious--] It's easy to break away from that thought. The only thing you can do is accept it in the end, even if it is hard.

[The poster campaign comment does make Roji smile a bit. The fact that no one will have to worry about him being gone does bring him peace of mind, since that actually did tend to happen a lot back home.

But he actually responds to what Mayoi said after that.]

Yes, you're right. [He really can't argue with that point.] I think I've just been fighting it for a long time. Too long.

You don't need to stop fighting. If you forget then you'll get too comfortable here. That's fine if you don't want to go home, but if you do then that isn't good either. I think the best thing is to remember both things at once. And that you aren't alone here.

So...find a balance. Don't long too much for home, but don't get too comfortable in Luceti and forget about home.

[Roji's certain he'll never forget about home, barring experiments, but it's still very good advice.]

Mm, it's hard to forget Luceti too. We've all made friends here from other worlds...and it'll be sad to say goodbye one day.

Yeah, but sometimes goodbye is just what is needed. Even if it is hurtful. Does that make sense?

[Oh, that sure hit home. Well at least these inevitable goodbyes aren't going to be half as soul-crushing. Roji's response is quiet, but confident.]
